This is Scooter.
Scooter's portrait was commissioned very shortly after his loss. He was a very special cat to his owner and she grieves his loss.
A variety of photos were e-mailed to me, all were limited in detail having been taken indoors with a flash. I was able to use my photo editing program to draw out some of the details that were not visible to the naked eye so I could then use this photo for reference. I was intrigued and challenged by the red throw cover Scooter is laying on and love the contrast with his rich black fur. It was one of the more difficult pieces I've worked on to date.
