Basset Hound Portrait - Riley

Meet Riley, one very lucky Basset Hound. You see, Riley was homeless. But thanks to a Bassett Hound Rescue organization Riley found a fantastic home. Riley never thought he'd have his own custom pet portrait painted. But here he is! And what a pet portrait. It just doesn't get any better than this. Riley is a rescue Basset Hound.  I had done two other portraits for these clients in the past...colored pencil.  When they came to me with Riley, I did their portrait in colored pencil to match.  But I was trying to get pictures painted for a booth and decided to one of the photos I took of Riley and make a pastel painting of it.  I loved the "old world style" it had when I got done.  It is in a real baroque style frame which really brings out that old feel to the painting.  These are the same people that just hired me to do Zoe.
