Chow Chow Dogs Portraits

I never met this chow.  A client that placed a commission for a portrait of her dog also commissioned me to do one for a very close friend of hers.  They went back a long way and she really wanted to do something special for her as a surprise.  The dog was such an unusual color ... I've never seen a chow this color before or since.  It was almost a smoky lavender color that blended with the more traditional orange of most chows.
