Sheltie Portraits

Sarah is the most photogenic dog I've ever worked with.  I met her owner along with her daughter at a local art show.  The owner was visiting her daughter and would be heading home to New York shortly.  So we made an appointment for the next day and they brought the dog along.  Sarah trotted up by the barn, sat down and faced us and literally posed.  "How do you like this pose?"  she asked...then turned her head the other way, "How about this?"  and so on.  I shot off about 10 pictures in no time flat and any would have made a marvelous picture.  The owner left it up to me with the background.  Just wanted something green and outdoorsy.  I guess I was inspired by all the Lassie and Timmy movies I watched as a kid.  I pictured the collie leaping over the white board fence and you could see woods and pastures around.  So I felt this sheltie would look good in that kind of setting.
