"Some thoughts about selecting the best pet portrait artist..." |
I totally agree and will attempt to explain why I do... It's extremely hard to convey the true beauty and effect of a painted pet portrait through an Internet image. This is particularly true for a Christman pet portrait because they have a 3D quality about them. Cynthia tells me it has to do with using pastel on Velour paper which I'm also told by others is an incredibly difficult way paint a pet portrait. I'm not an artist (my art instructors still weep at the very thought of me) but I know what I like and I just haven't seen anything that compares with the realism and expression of a pet's personality of a Christman pet portrait. Here's how I would attempt to put it in words...
Test to see if what I'm saying is true. Open a bigger picture of the portraits below. Then open another tab in your browser and compare Cynthia's work to any other pet portrait and come to your own conclusion about the effect, the unparalleled and absolute attention to detail, the appearance of the eyes and the incredible museum quality of her portraits. Be sure to get the best possible picture the other site has available to make your comparison.
