My name is Nolan and I do the website and Internet marketing for Cynthia Christman. I have several online businesses and found out about Cynthia's work from the family that makes the Blackberry Creek Soap I sell on my online store at Handmade-Natural-Soap.net. I was told that Cynthia paints some of the most beautiful pet portraits in the world and, with no marketing hype intended,
I totally agree and will attempt to explain why I do...

It's extremely hard to convey the true beauty and effect of a painted pet portrait through an Internet image. This is particularly true for a Christman pet portrait because they have a 3D quality about them. Cynthia tells me it has to do with using pastel on Velour paper which I'm also told by others is an incredibly difficult way paint a pet portrait. I'm not an artist (my art instructors still weep at the very thought of me) but I know what I like and I just haven't seen anything that compares with the realism and expression of a pet's personality of a Christman pet portrait. Here's how I would attempt to put it in words...

  • With a computer generated pet portrait the reaction is that "that's pretty neat".
  • With a high quality hand-painted pet portrait by a talented professional pet portrait artist the reaction is most often that the portrait absolutely beautiful.
  • With a Christman pet portrait that dog is there. And it's not just any dog of that particular breed... it's your dog with his or her personality. And with that 3D effect you fully expect that dog to jump right out of that frame into your arms and greet you. It's truly amazing. An overwhelming number of clients cry when they first see their pet's portrait especially if it's in memoriam. And their attention is drawn to that pet painting every time they enter the room. It's a comfort and something you'll enjoy every day.
That's the difference. That's why I recommend Cynthia Christman to be your pet portrait artist.

All Christman pet portraits have that 3D quality when you see the actual painting. But in spite of the limitations of the Internet, there are some Christman pet paintings where you can actually see this effect to some degree in the Internet pictures of the portraits. There are several, but I show some examples on this page.

Test to see if what I'm saying is true. Open a bigger picture of the portraits below. Then open another tab in your browser and compare Cynthia's work to any other pet portrait and come to your own conclusion about the effect, the unparalleled and absolute attention to detail, the appearance of the eyes and the incredible museum quality of her portraits. Be sure to get the best possible picture the other site has available to make your comparison.
