About this Morgan Foal Portrait:
I was going to be taking my booth to a Morgan specialty and needed some horse pictures to show. This was one of the paintings I did. I chose a cute little foal. In the photo he was kind of a mousy dun color and was laying in a dirt corral. I jazzed his color up a little and contrasted his warm color with the cool color of the green fields. And how can you go wrong with the wonderful yellows of all those dandelions? They seem to go with youth. This was my first painting to sell at a gallery.
