A Few Facts About Paint Horses

Paint horses in America can be traced back to the Spanish explorers. The Spanish brought horses that were descended from two-toned horses found in Asia Minor and North Africa Horses escaped from the Spanish and before long herds of wild paint horses could be found on the Great Plains.

Paint horses were the horses of choice for both Native Americans and western settlers. Paint horses are indelibly carved in the history of the American West.
