My name is Cynthia Christman and I am a professional pet portrait artist. I paint original, museum quality dog, cat and horse portraits by referencing your pet's photos.
My portraits are extremely realistic with an almost 3D look because I use a unique medium using pastels on velour paper. It's a very difficult medium to master but the results are worth the effort because your pet literally seems to be alive.
I truly share your love for animals and try to reflect that love in every portrait I paint. You and I both know how special and unique each animal's personality is. Just send me a photograph or two that you know shows off your pet's unique personality. Tell me about your pet...his favorite toy...his favorite place you share or have shared together...special ways your pet expresses or expressed their love your you...anything that helps me get to know your pet and how you interacted.

You know nothing can ever take the place of a lost pet. But I promise that I will process all that information you've given me and do my utmost to produce a painting that will immortalize your pet and allow those great memories to live on forever. People tell me that one of the things that sets my paintings apart from the rest is the reflection of my love for animals in the eyes of the animals I paint. I sincerely hope that's true. I've also been told and I sincerely believe that a hand-painted pet portrait is far better at conveying your pet's personality than any photograph ever could.
Your painting will remain in your family as a treasured heirloom for generations. And you can be assured that your painting will continue to look great through the years because pastels retain their rich colors without fading, cracking or peeling.
